Eppleton FC is a non-profit, FA-accredited, local community football club founded in 2022. The club competes in the Peterlee District Sunday League and continues to go from strength to strength both on and off the pitch.
Playing home fixtures at Eppleton Academy and operating from Eppleton Cricket Club, the club has quickly established itself as an important part of the local sporting community.
Since its formation, Eppleton FC has enjoyed remarkable early success, securing back-to-back promotions from Division 2 and Division 1, winning the latter, and now competing in the Premier Division, where this is their third season.
The club has also celebrated a number of cup successes:
• Bobby Robson Foundation Trophy (2021 & 2022)
• Cyril Dunn Trophy (2022)
• Tommy Burrell Cup (2022 & 2023)
More than just a football team, Eppleton FC has become a true community hub for players and supporters alike. The club is built on strong core values of teamwork, resilience and effort, which are proudly demonstrated every Sunday morning at 10:30am.
As part of its continued growth, the club has recently affiliated its first Under-13 junior team, marking an exciting new chapter in its development. There are ambitious plans to expand the junior section further in the coming seasons, providing more opportunities for young players in the local area to get involved in football.
Eppleton FC is committed to developing players of all ages and abilities while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment for the whole community.
